Kineta, a subsidiary of Sime, is now offering certified installation services for all EV chargers from major brands – not just those sold by Kineta themselves – in Penang, Perak, the Klang Valley, Selangor, Johor Bahru, Pahang, Sibu, Kuching, and Kota Kinabalu.
The service will be applicable to AC and DC chargers from manufacturers such as ZD Energy, Wallbox, Joint, Sino, and others.
All installations under Kineta will be carried out by its Suruhanjaya Tenaga-certified (ST) Wireman and Chargeman, alongside industry-authorised professionals who are trained to adhere to the highest industry safety standards. The teams are fully equipped to design and manage both AC and DC charger installations utilising SIRIM-certified components.
“Unfortunately, many EV owners today unknowingly depend on unqualified installers or non-approved components, including substandard RCCBs, MCBs, and wiring accessories. Such practices pose significant safety risks, from electrical faults to potential fire hazards caused by improper installation or the use of non-SIRIM/Suruhanjaya Tenaga ST-certified components,” said Kineta Head of Retail Operations, Azizul Aziz.
“We exclusively use SIRIM-certified, fully compliant components to ensure every system is installed safely, correctly, and in full accordance with national regulations. Safety remains our top priority, each installation is designed to safeguard people and property, deliver long-term reliability, and provide EV drivers with a robust, future-ready charging experience,” he added.
To celebrate the roll-out of this service, Kineta is introducing a special year-end campaign running from 15th to 31st December 2025. The campaign offers an RM188 discount on the following packages (excluding purchases via eCommerce platforms):

- AC – Three-Phase Installation Package – RM1,700 (retail: RM 1,888)
To secure this discount, customers must pay a non-refundable RM200 Home Check Fee by 31st December 2025 and complete the installation by 28th February 2026.
