The Bentley Flying Spur S returns with more power than ever before

Bentley has officially unveiled the updated Flying Spur, and the headline news is the return of the S badge. Positioned squarely at the performance-focussed driver or maybe occupants, the new Flying Spur S is the most powerful S version Crewe has ever produced.

Under the bonnet lies an electrified 4.0-litre V8 hybrid powertrain that produces 680 hp and 930 Nm of torque, which is a near 20% power increase over its predecessor. These figures enable the luxury sedan to rocket from 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds before reaching a top speed of 308 km/h.

To handle that power, Bentley has fitted the Flying Spur S with its advanced Performance Active Chassis. The setup integrates active all-wheel drive, a 48V active anti-roll system, and, for the first time on a Flying Spur S, an electronic limited-slip differential to ensure maximum agility on the road.

Visually, the updated Flying Spur introduces a clean, modern aesthetic that aligns its design DNA with the fourth-generation Continental GT. The major talking point is the return of single front headlights to a Bentley sedan for the first time since 1962, framed by a new front grille integrated into the bumper.

The S model further asserts its sporting intent with the Blackline Specification, featuring a dark front lower bumper, gloss black matrix grilles, Beluga black mirror caps, and dark-tinted LED matrix headlamps. The exterior updates are rounded off by a revised boot lid, dark-tinted taillamps, and optional 22-inch alloy wheel finishes.

Step inside, and the uncompromised craftsmanship remains world-class, offering five distinct seat styles, each requiring 12 hours of meticulous hand-finishing.

Audiophiles can also opt for the ultra-exclusive Virtuoso Collection, which equips the Flying Spur with the 21-speaker Naim for Mulliner sound system developed originally for the ultra-exclusive Bentley Batur, and this is a GBP25,000 (approx. RM135k) option.

Production of the updated Bentley Flying Spur will commence in Crewe this September, with the first customer deliveries scheduled for early Q4 2026.

Closer to home, the outgoing Bentley Flying Spur Speed was launched locally back in early 2025, with prices starting approximately from RM2.9 million, and this car triumphs the Flying Spur S with its 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged hybrid V8 making 782 hp and 1,000 Nm, which allows 0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds.
