Video: 2025 Chery Tiggo Cross Turbo & Hybrid in Malaysia, up to just RM99k!

Chery Malaysia has launched the Chery Tiggo Cross in Malaysia, with two variants on offer: the 1.5 Turbo and the 1.5 Hybrid CSH, priced from RM88,800 and RM99,800 respectively.

The Chery Tiggo Cross is a compact SUV similar in size to the Perodua Ativa, Proton X50, Honda WR-V, and the Nissan Kicks — the latter is only one among the list that is currently offered in Malaysia as a hybrid, like the Tiggo Cross.

On the outside, the Tiggo Cross resembles a smaller, cuter version of its larger Chery siblings—the Tiggo 7 Pro and Tiggo 8 Pro. Up front, it features automatic LED headlights with daytime running lights, while the rear sports a full-width LED light bar. The turbo variant comes with 18-inch wheels as standard, whereas the hybrid rides on slightly smaller 17-inch wheels.

Inside, the Cherry Tiggo Cross sports dual 10.25-inch displays for the central infotainment screen and digital instrument cluster. The centre console is treated to a digital control panel for the dual-zone climate control, with a small cutout for the wireless charging pad.

As for the seats, the interior features faux leather upholstery, with the hybrid variant getting powered lumbar support for the driver’s seat. Other stand-out interior features include ambient lighting, automatic windscreen wipers, and a six-speaker sound system.

As mentioned, the Chery Tiggo Cross is offered here in Malaysia as a Turbo and a Hybrid. The Turbo variant is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 147 hp and 210 Nm, sent to the front wheels via a six-speed dual-clutch transmission. It does 0–100 km/h in 10.3 seconds.

The Hybrid CSH variant, short for Chery Super Hybrid, uses the same 1.5-litre engine in a naturally aspirated form, paired with an electric motor for a combined output of 204 hp and 310 Nm. Chery claims it does 0–100 km/h in 8.4 seconds and offers a range of up to 1,000 km.

Both variants come equipped with a 360-degree surround view camera, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and a suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), including adaptive cruise control, rear cross traffic alert, and lane change assist.

The Chery Tiggo Cross starts at RM88,888 for the Turbo and RM99,800 for the Hybrid, both backed by a seven-year or 150,000 km warranty. The hybrid variant gets an additional eight-year or 160,000 km warranty for the battery, motor, and hybrid control unit. Both variants are also entitled to seven years of free towing service.
