What you’re looking at is not the Honda HR-V, but the fully-electric (EV) Honda e:N1. The first EV model from Honda Malaysia is launched in Malaysia as a fully imported (CBU) model priced at an introductory RM149,900.
Despite its near-identical appearance to its petrol-powered cousin, the Honda e:N1 rides on Honda’s e:N Architecture F platform, a different foundation than that of the HR-V.
Key differences of the Honda e:N1 from the HR-V include a closed-off front grille housing a new charging flap, a white Honda emblem, full-width LED taillights, and a new Honda-typeface emblem on the tailgate.
Inside the Honda e:N1, you will find a vertical 15.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay, and a 10.25-inch driver’s digital gauge cluster. On the centre console, the traditional gear lever is replaced by a neat row of buttons for gear selection.

Powering the Honda e:N1 is a front-mounted electric motor producing 204 hp and 310 Nm. This electric motor draws power from a 68.8 kWh ternary lithium-ion (NMC) battery pack, enabling a range of 500 km (NEDC).
Charging the Honda e:N1 is supported by a 10 kW AC charger, allowing a full charge in six hours. For DC charging, the e:N1 supports 78 kW which enables a 30% to 80% recharge in 50 minutes.

In terms of safety systems, the Honda e:N1 comes equipped with the full suite of Honda Sensing advanced driver assistant systems (ADAS), which includes adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, and blind spot monitors – the latter being a first for a Honda model in Malaysia.
