Suzuki Cars Malaysia has launched the new e Vitara locally. A single fully-imported (CBU) variant is available, priced at RM188,000, on-the-road, without insurance.
Co-developed with Toyota, a partnership that also resulted in the Toyota Urban Cruiser, the Suzuki eVitara is built on a dedicated Heartect-e BEV platform that provides a lightweight chassis and a spacious interior courtesy of short body overhangs.

Measuring 4,275 mm long, 1,800 mm wide, and 1,635 mm tall with a 2,700 mm wheelbase, the eVitara is 310 mm longer and 155 mm wider than the Jimny 5-door. Unlike its Toyota counterpart, the Suzuki e Vitara features an exterior design inspired by a cool “metal beast” concept, combining a rugged SUV aesthetic with a modern electric vehicle silhouette to deliver a high-tech, adventurous theme.
Standard exterior equipment on the Suzuki e Vitara includes:
- Automatic LED projector headlights with follow-me-home functionality
- LED daytime running lights
- LED fog lamps
- Automatic rain-sensing windshield wipers
- Power-adjustable side mirrors with heating and integrated turn indicators
- Panoramic sunroof with sunshade
- 18-inch alloy wheels
While the exterior of the Suzuki e Vitara looks distinctive from its Toyota sibling, the interior is virtually a carbon copy, with the sole exception of the steering wheel badge. This means the eVitara shares the same dual-tone cabin, with an integrated housing for the infotainment screen and digital instrument cluster, along with a centre console utilising a rotary knob for gear selection.
Standard interior equipment of the Suzuki e Vitara includes:
- Automatic climate control with pollen filter
- Leather upholstered two-spoke multi-function steering wheel
- 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster
- 10.1-inch infotainment display
- 10-way power adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support
