Calling all young’uns with a need for (simulated) speed – the Porsche Esports Sprint Challenge Malaysia has returned for a second year in a row!
Registrations have opened earlier this week on Wednesday, and the three-month-long sim racing contest will last until June 8. The prize? A very special opportunity to drive a real-life Porsche on Petronas Sepang International Circuit!
The second edition of the Porsche Esports Sprint Challenge Malaysia will be set in RaceRoom Racing Experience on Steam, where participants will be setting personal lap records in virtual circuits from this year’s Porsche Carrera Cup Asia 2025 season.
These include tracks such as the Petronas Sepang International Circuit, Shanghai Audi International Circuit, Mobility Resort Motegi, Bangsaen Street Circuit, Mandalika International Circuit, and Marina Bay Street Circuit.
The qualifying and race formats are as follows for those eligible to enter:
- Junior Dreamers: 10-14 years old
- Young Dreamers: 15-17 years old
- Driven Dreamers: 18-25 years old
Round 1 of the Porsche Esports Sprint Challenge Malaysia will begin on April 12, where participants will have a 10-minute time-trial session to set their fastest lap times – either at home or at any Porsche Centre in the country (on an appointment basis only).
Qualifiers in Round 1 who made the cut will then proceed with Round 2, where another qualifying session will take place in the following Porsche Centre locations and dates – inclusive of in-person coaching to shorten lap times:
- Porsche Centre Ara Damansara: 26-27 April 2025
- Porsche Centre Johor Bahru: 3-4 May 2025
- Porsche Centre Penang: 10-11 May 2025
- Porsche Centre Sungai Besi: 17-18 2025

The top 10 of each category from each Porsche Centre – 120 in total – will then take part in the final qualifying round at Bangsar Shopping Centre on 25-26 May 2025. Afterwards, 10 of the fastest lap times set from each category – 30 in total – will make it to the final round of (virtual) racing.
The final round will take place at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit on June 8, where 10 of the fastest in each category will go wheel-to-wheel for the top three spots on the podium. The winners who do will also get a very special prize: A chance to drive a real-life Porsche on a real-life racetrack.
