Porsche Centre Johor Bahru has completed Malaysia’s first-ever full classic Porsche restoration, a ground-up rebuild of a classic 911T.
This achievement underscores the facility’s unique status as Malaysia’s one and only Porsche Classic Partner, which features certified in-house body and paint capabilities.
The restoration was carried out through the Porsche Classic Partner programme, which offers certified bodywork, paint services, and advanced repair techniques specifically for Porsche models that have been out of production for at least 10 years.
Porsche Malaysia says the restoration was a painstaking, months-long journey. During the process, every panel and component of the classic 911T was carefully disassembled, documented, and rebuilt to its original factory specifications.

First launched in 1967, the Porsche 911T (short for Touring) was the entry-level variant of the iconic 911 range, developed as a more accessible counterpart to its higher-spec siblings, the 911 S and 911 E. It was equipped with a 2.0-litre flat-six engine producing 110 hp.
According to Porsche Malaysia, while less powerful than its siblings, the 911T was renowned for being lightweight, agile, and beautifully balanced, embodying the purist driving experience that Porsche fans revere.
Porsche Malaysia did not disclose how much it’ll cost to have your classic Porsche fully restored, but chances are it will be very expensive. Although, if you’re a fan of classic Porsches, no price is too much to pay to get your prized possession back to its former glory, right?
