The new 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera S gets a major power bump, now matching the previous GTS!

Porsche is quickly filling up the updated 992.2 generation Porsche 911 line-up with the launch of the updated 2025 911 Carrera S. Slotting in between the regular 911 Carrera and the Carrera GTS, the new 911 Carrera S will be available in coupe and cabriolet guises. Despite the model sticking with a non-hybrid powertrain, its performance numbers here have been boosted up to match the previous outgoing 911 Carrera GTS!

The Porsche 911 Carrera S sports a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged flat-six engine paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission (PDK) to send 473 hp and 530 Nm of torque to the rear wheels with an increase of 30 hp compared to the previous Porsche 911 Carrera S.

Made possible by the improved engine, the Porsche 911 Carrera S can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.3 seconds, with a top speed of 308 km/h – exactly the same as the outgoing GTS.

Backing up its performance numbers comes an arsenal of standard equipment and 911 Carrera S-exclusive options:

  • Staggered 20-inch front and 21-inch rear Carrera S wheels
  • Sports exhaust system with silver tailpipes
  • Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV+)
  • 16.1-inch front and 15-inch rear brake rotors
  • Red brake calipers

For better handling when you are carving canyons or powering through racetrack corners, you can opt for a set of Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) system and PASM sports suspension, the latter gives the 911 Carrera S a lowered stance by 10 mm. Also improving upon the handling and ride are new dampers combined with rear-wheel steering for a quicker steering ratio.

Turning our attention to the inside, more leather can be seen in more places than last time. Large surfaces such as the dashboard, seats, doors, glove box lid, and many more are upholstered in leather for an elegant touch.

Only two seats come as standard in the 2025 911 Carrera S: Driver and passenger, but a pair of rear folding seats can be added as an optional extra with no additional cost.
