BMW Malaysia has just launched the new range-topping petrol variant for the G60 5 Series: the 2025 BMW 530i M Sport. The locally-assembled (CKD) 530i M Sport starts at RM399,800 on-the-road without insurance and comes with a standard two-year warranty. With the five-year extended warranty and service package, the price is bumped up to RM430,100.
Under the hood, you’ll find a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a 48V mild hybrid system delivering 258 hp and 400 Nm of torque.
This is paired to an eight-speed automatic gearbox that sends power to the rear wheels. 0 to 100 km/h takes 6.2 seconds and onwards to a top speed of 250 km/h.
So, what sets the 530i M Sport apart from its siblings? Well, it’s got some fancy 20-inch alloy wheels, a premium Bowers & Wilkins sound system with 18 speakers, and satin aluminium trim on the outside.

Apart from that, it looks pretty much identical to the 520i M Sport, with the same M Sport body kit, Iconic Glow kidney grille, adaptive LED headlights, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment display.
So, will you opt for the conventional combustion-powered 530i M Sport or the fully electric i5 eDrive40? These two Bimmers are priced from RM400k, but if you’re scratching your head trying to choose, don’t worry, as we have a comparison article on the two here.
