Powering the BMW 520i M Sport is the familiar B48 2.0-litre inline-4 turbocharged engine that gets mild hybrid (MHEV) assistance. Combined, the MHEV powertrain churns out a maximum power output of 208 hp and 330 Nm. Sending power to the rear wheels only via an eight-speed automatic Steptronic Sport gearbox, the powertrain is able to launch the car from 0-100 km/h in 7.5 seconds, onward to a top speed of 230 km/h.

Safety-wise, the 2024 BMW 520i M Sport is equipped with the Driving Assistant Plus package, as well as the Parking Assistant Plus package. The former includes items like Active Cruise Control (ACC) with Stop & Go, Steering and Lane Control Assistant, Lane Departure with Lane Return, Front collision warning with Pedestrian Warning, and Speed Limit Info. The latter includes items like the BMW Drive Recorder, Active Park Distance Control, and Remote 3D view.

At RM376,700, the BMW 520i M Sport comes in at RM17k daerer than the standard, tamer-looking 520i. Fortunately, BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia has a few attractive financing options for you, including the BMW Easy Drive programme offering up to 30% lower monthly instalments, and a guaranteed future value (GFV) of your 520i M Sport at the end of your financing tenure. Monthly payments for the BMW 520i M Sport starts at RM3,824.
