Isuzu Malaysia has announced the commencement of bookings for the 2025 Isuzu D-Max Low-Ride 4×2 – a low-riding, workhorse-focused variant for the popular pickup truck, aimed squarely at business owners. Deliveries for the new variant are expected to start next month.
With a price tag of RM92,199 on-the-road and without insurance, the new Low-Ride 4×2 MT variant is now the most affordable option in the Isuzu D-Max line-up, coming in even lower than the 1.9L Single Cab 4×4 MT – and it’s also still covered by a five-year or 150,000 km warranty.
On the surface, the new 2025 Isuzu D-Max Low-Ride shares some similarities with the base Isuzu D-Max 1.9-litre Single Cab. This includes the 1.9-litre turbodiesel engine with 148 hp and 350 Nm of torque, and six-speed manual gearbox.
This is also the same power unit that recently set a record in the Malaysia Book of Records. Responsible for accomplishing the monumental feat of driving over 2,004 km in a single 76-litre tank of gas during the 2024 Dura-Miles Fuel Efficiency Run from Thailand to Malaysia.
The main difference between the two, as described by their full variant names, is the two-wheel drive drivetrain setup in the new Low-Ride variant, as opposed to the four-wheel drive system of the single-cab, the latter could be helpful in certain specific use cases.
For the new 2025 Isuzu D-Max Low-Ride, its main purpose – as described by Isuzu Malaysia – to transport equipment, cargo, and manpower for on-site services. The load deck that is 78 cm above ground allows for the convenience of loading and unloading heavy objects, and the interior cabin comfortably seats up to five people.

Like the single-cab, the new Low-Ride variant also comes in one colour only: Splash White. But at least, you’ll be getting properly painted bumpers on here (instead of black), as well as a set of alloy wheels instead of the steelies of the Single Cab.
Lasering in on the interior, the 2025 Isuzu D-Max Low-Ride comes with the bare necessities for business needs. The pick up truck comes with fabric seats, a single-DIN Bluetooth-ready entertainment system, tilt and telescopic steering column adjustment, central locking and electronically-adjustable door mirrors.
Additionally, the 2025 Isuzu D-Max Low-Ride in Malaysia comes with safety features such as anti-lock brake system (ABS), brake assist (BA), traction control system (TCS), hill start assist (HSA), airbags, and more that netted the highest five-star ASEAN NCAP rating.
