Launched under the new eMAS sub-brand, dedicated to electrified models, the eMAS 7 is the first among a series of three models to be launched by Proton in the near future.
Embracing the minimalist design trend popular in today’s EVs, the eMAS 7 features an understated exterior with a grille-less front bumper. This minimalist approach extends to the interior, where a centrally located 15.4-inch infotainment display takes centre stage.
Powering the Proton eMAS 7 on both variants is an electric motor that delivers 218 hp (160 kW) and 320 Nm to the front wheels. This translates to a 0-100 km/h time in 6.9 seconds on the Prime variant and 7.1 seconds on the Premium variants. Both variants have a top speed of 175 km/h.
Both variants of the eMAS 7 use Geely’s proprietary Aegis short blade battery. The Prime variant is equipped with a 49.52 kWh battery pack, good for a WLTP-rated range of 345 km.
The Premium variant is equipped with a larger 60.22 kWh battery pack, bumping the range up to 410 km (WLTP). Charging from 30-80% takes only 20 minutes with DC charging for both variants.
