Ending the year with a kick, the highly anticipated Nissan Kicks e-Power is launched in Malaysia during KLIMS 2024. This new B-segment SUV is bringing a unique approach to electrification, setting it apart from its contemporaries.
The highlight of the Nissan Kicks e-Power is undoubtedly its innovative powertrain. A 129 hp and 280 Nm electric motor drives the front wheels, powered by a 2.06 kWh battery that’s charged by a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine making 82 hp and 103 Nm.
This means the petrol engine never directly powers the wheels; it acts solely as a generator, making the Kicks e-Power essentially an electric car with a range extender, offering a more EV-like driving experience.
The design of the Nissan Kicks e-Power is akin to a compact version of the Nissan X-trail with sleek headlights paired with the Japanese carmaker signature V-motion grille and similarly shaped rear taillights.

Inside the Nissan Kicks e-Power, you’ll find an interior similar to the one of the Nissan Almera, with the notable difference being the addition of a futuristic e-Power electronic gear shifter on the centre console instead of a traditional gear lever.
Available in three variants, the Nissan Kicks e-Power is priced from RM113,800 on-the road without insurance. Prices include a five-year/100,000 km vehicle warranty and an eight-year/160,000 km warranty for EV components (high voltage battery, motor, inverter, and e-Power control unit).
