UMW Toyota Motor has launched the 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross facelift for Malaysia here at KLIMS 2024. Three variants are available: 1.8 V, HEV, HEV GR-S. Prices for the facelift Corolla Cross start at RM133,800 on-the-road and without insurance.

The most striking changes to the Toyota Corolla Cross facelift is most definitely the new front grille design, reminiscent of the Lexus RX. The facelift also debuts new designs for the headlights, now featuring bi-LED units and taillights along with 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Toyo tyres.
Standard exterior equipment of the facelift Toyota Cross includes:
- Bi-LED headlights with sequential turn signal
- LED taillights
- LED daytime running lights (DRL)
- Acoustic front windshield
- Auto-fold side mirrors with reverse link
- Powered tailgate with kick sensor

The HEV GR-S variant adds on:

Inside, perhaps the most welcome addition to the facelifted Toyota Corolla Cross is the new electronic parking brake with auto brake hold, a feature previously missing from this model. Drivers will also appreciate the upgraded infotainment system, featuring a new 10.1-inch touchscreen display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Standard interior equipment of the facelift Toyota Cross includes:

- Six-speaker sound system
- Eight-way power adjustable driver seat
- 60:40 split-folding and rear reclining rear seats
- Black leather interior upholstery with brown accent
- 4.2-inch driver multi-information display (MID)

The hybrid 1.8 HEV variant gains additional features such as:
- Four selectable drive modes (Power, Eco, Normal and EV)
- 12.3-inch full-colour digital instrument cluster
- Electrochromic rearview mirror
- HEV specific floor mats
The HEV GR-Sport variant further adds on:
- Black leather upholstery with red stitching and embossed GR logo
- Red stitching on centre console with sliding armrest
- GR specific floor mats
The facelift Toyota Corolla Cross carries over the same 1.8-litre naturally aspirated inline-four engine paired to a Super CVT-i transmission making 139 hp and 172 Nm paired with a CVT gearbox with seven virtual ratios. This engine is available in the 1.8 V variant.
The hybrid variants (HEV and HEV GR-S) feature a 1.8-litre naturally aspirated inline-four engine making 98 hp and 142 Nm, paired with an electric motor making 72 hp and 163 Nm paired with an E-CVT for a total output of 122hp. The GR-Sport variant, however, has a variant-specific ECU, which should give it a slightly sportier driving experience.
In terms of safety, the facelift Toyota Corolla Cross is equipped with seven airbags as standard and is equipped with Toyota’s Safety Sense system suite of ADAS features which includes:
- Rear cross traffic alert (RCTA)
- Adaptive cruise control (ACC)
- Lane departure warning (LDW)
- Lane keep assist (LKA)
- Automatic high beam
The facelift Toyota Corolla Cross is available in five colours: Celestite Grey Metallic, Red Mica Metallic, Silver Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, and Dark Turquoise. The latter is a new addition introduced with the launch of the facelift.
As for the Toyota Corolla Cross 1.8 HEV GR-S variant, it gains access to two-tone colours which are: Platinium White Pearl, Dark Turquoise and Red Mica Metallic.

Included in the price is a five-year warranty with unlimited mileage. The hybrid battery pack has a separate warranty of up to eight years with unlimited mileage. Customers can also opt to extend the battery pack and related components warranty for another two years, making for a total of 10 years.
