All-electric 2024 MINI Aceman arrives in Malaysia – only in SE guise, RM221k

MINI Malaysia has announced the availability of the first-ever 2024 Mini Aceman, solely in the “SE” guise here on our shores, at a price of RM221,288 on-the-road and without insurance. The Aceman expands on MINI Malaysia’s all-electric offerings, joining the Countryman and MINI Cooper EVs.

The Aceman is positioned between the MINI Cooper and Countryman in terms of size. It measures 4,079 mm in length, 1,754 mm in width, and 1,514 mm in height. This makes the Aceman 218 mm longer than the MINI Cooper, but shorter and narrower than the Countryman.

The MINI Aceman (centre), compare to the all-new Countryman (left) and Cooper (right).

Driving the front wheels of the MINI Aceman is a single electric motor that is identical to that of the MINI Cooper SE, delivering 218 hp and 330 Nm of torque. 0 to 100 km/h is achieved in 7.1 seconds, onward to a top speed of 170 km/h.

Based on the WLTP range test, the Mini Aceman offers up to 406 km of range with its 54 kWh battery. With 95 kW DC charging capability, it can be charged from 10% – 80% charge in just 30 minutes. An 11 kW on-board AC charger comes as standard in Malaysia.

The design of the MINI Aceman reflects a scaled-down Countryman, but with a less rugged and more refined aesthetic. While the front of the Aceman may appear similar to the Countryman at first glance, its front headlights are unique. This distinctive styling continues at the rear, highlighted by the matrix-style LED tail lights that even come with selectable light signatures!

Standard exterior equipment of the MINI Aceman include:

  • 19-inch Hexagram-spoke two-tone alloy wheels
  • Roof rails
  • Painted roof in black
  • LED headlights and tail lights
  • “Favoured” trims and bodykit, inclusive of skid plate elements on front and rear bumpers

The interior of the Aceman features a modern and stylish cabin that reimagines MINI’s signature styling, as seen on the Cooper and Countryman. A circular infotainment screen takes centre stage on the dashboard. Below this screen, a row of physical buttons provides intuitive control over essential functions such as media volume, gear selection, and ignition.

Standard interior equipment of the MINI Aceman include:

  • Sports steering wheel
  • Electronically adjustable drivers and passenger seat with memory function
  • John Cooper Works sports seats
  • Head-up display
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity
  • Harman Kardon surround sound system
  • Heated steering wheel
  • Heated seats, both driver and front passenger
  • Tyre pressure monitor (TPMS)
  • Auto dimming rear-view mirror
  • MINI Experience driving modes

The MINI Aceman will arrive as standard in Malaysia with the MINI Driving Assistant suite of safety features, including lane departure warning (LDW), forward collision warning (FCW), automatic emergency braking (AEB), and speed limit info as standard. A more advanced kit that includes Level 2 SAE semi-autonomous driving capabilities will require a separate “unlock fee” through the MINI Connected Drive store. These features include:

  • Active cruise control (ACC)
  • Lane keeping assist (LKA)
  • Traffic jam assist (TJA)

The aforementioned RM221,288 price is inclusive of the Extended Warranty & Service Package, which includes a four-year unlimited-mileage warranty, four years of free scheduled service, alongside five years of free roadside assistance.

If you prefer, MINI Malaysia will also offer the Aceman with only the standard two-year factory, priced at RM213,888. Separately, a MINI wallbox is also available for sale, at RM4891.05.
