Video: 2024 Mitsubishi Xpander facelift from RM99k – More mature, more features


Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia has launched the 2024 Mitsubishi Xpander facelift. The new 2024 Mitsubishi Xpander comes with a price tag from RM99,980 to RM109,980, on the road and without insurance. It comes with two variants: a standard base variant and the Xpander Plus variant. 

Dimension-wise, the facelifted Mitsubishi Xpander remains unchanged at 4,475 mm in length, 1,730 mm in width, 1,750 mm in height, and is underpinned by a 2,775 mm wheelbase. It comes with a MacPherson suspension setup with a stabiliser bar at the front and a torsion beam at the rear. Ground clearance has been raised by 15 mm, to 225 mm, which Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia claims is the best in its class.

Standard exterior items on the facelifted Mitsubishi Xpander include automatic LED headlamps, LED daytime-running-lights (DRLs), front and rear bumper finished in black, door handles finished in chrome, LED taillights and new 17-inch alloy wheels. Exclusive to the Plus variant is the front and rear bumper finished in silver, a side skirt finished in silver, a door visor and a tailgate spoiler.

The powertrain on the facelifted Mitsubishi Xpander also remains unchanged from before. It is powered by a MIVEC 1.5 litre naturally-aspirated engine with 104 hp and 141 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. Power is sent to the front wheels via a four-speed automatic.

Inside, the facelifted Mitsubishi Xpander comes standard with a push-start button, a 4.2-inch colour multi-info display, an eco-drive assist with score indicator, and four USB ports. It also gets digital auto-climate control, rear aircon with individual vents, leather-wrapped steering wheel, cruise control, a nine-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and a six-speaker audio system.

In terms of safety, the facelifted Mitsubishi Xpander comes standards with an electronic parking brake (EPB), auto-hold brake, rest reminder, Hill Start Assist (HSA), Emergency Stop Signal System (ESSS), and a reverse camera. Watch the video to find out more!
