MINI’s latest creation, the MINI Aceman has been launched in Thailand, making it the third fully electric model from the brand. Sold in one variant only, the MINI Aceman SE, the new electric car fetches a price of THB 1,999,000 (approx. RM255,015). Globally, there is also a lower MINI Aceman E variant.
The MINI Aceman made its global debut back in April this year. Its design is a controversial take on the MINI design language as it sports an even more polygonal set of headlights (compared to the all-new MINI Countryman). And if you’re wondering where it slots in in the MINI family, MINI says it is positioned right between the Cooper and the Countryman.

The Thai-spec MINI Aceman is essentially its range-topping form, hence the “SE” suffix. It gets a single motor front wheel drive (FWD) setup that can put out 218 hp and 330 Nm at maximum (more powerful than the Aceman E). With the single-motor setup, the MINI Aceman SE is able to do the century sprint in 7.1 seconds, onward to a limited top speed of 170 km/h.
Like other MINI cars, the MINI Aceman comes with an array of driving modes to choose from. This includes Core, Go-Kart, Green, Balance, Timeless, Vivid, and Personal.
Storing power in the MINI Aceman SE is a 54.2-kWh battery pack that provides a range of 405 km (WLTP). The battery can be charged at a maximum rate of 11 kW with AC charging and 95 kW with DC charging. The former takes 5 hours and 15 minutes to fully charge while the latter takes 30 minutes to charge the car from 10% to 80% State of Charge (SoC).

Among the standard exterior equipment of the Thai-spec MINI Aceman SE are LED headlights with high-beam assist, 18-inch alloy wheels, an octagonal front grille, a panoramic roof, and roof rails. The headlight DRLs also come with three adjustable modes, namely Classic, Favoured, and JCW.
On the inside, the MINI Aceman sports a cabin that we’ve familiarized ourselves with via the Cooper and Countryman. Right in the middle of the dashboard is the brand’s new signature circular OLED screen. The cabin also sports the new MINI steering wheel and the innovative fabric treatment that we see in the Countryman.

Among the standard interior items for the Thai-spec MINI Aceman SE are JCW front seats, a heated steering wheel, an active massage system for the driver seat, ambient lighting, a head-up display, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity.
In the safety department, the MINI Aceman SE for Thailand comes equipped with 6 airbags and standard passive safety items. It is also equipped with the brand’s Driving Assistant package. Thai customers can also add the optional Driving Assistant Plus Package which includes items like Active Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), and Lane Keeping Control (LKC) system with steering and line guidance assist.
