UMW Toyota Motor is now accepting orders for the updated 2024 Toyota Hilux. Only an update without the facelift (which has been revealed for Australia), the Malaysian-spec Hilux now comes with a new starting price of RM104,880 for the Single Cab 2.4-litre turbodiesel manual variant. Some variants have received a price bump while some haven’t.

As for the updates to the 2024 Toyota Hilux, they include convenience and safety items. The availability of the new features is dependent on the variant.

The 2024 Toyota Hilux comes with the latest Euro 4 Emission standard for both the 2.4-litre turbodiesel and 2.8-litre turbodiesel mills. The lower four variants are powered by the same 2.4-litre turbodiesel engine that outputs 150 hp (metric) and 400 Nm. The Rogue is powered by the 2.8-litre turbodiesel mill that makes 204 hp (metric) and 500 Nm, while the GR-S is powered by a a more powerful 2.8-litre turbodiesel that makes 224 hp (metric) and 550 Nm.
As for transmission choices, the Hilux either gets a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic box, depending on the variant. The GR-S is the odd one out as it gets paddle shifters for the 6-speed automatic box.
All else, the Toyota Hilux remains the same on the inside with a 9-inch head unit for the GR-S, Rogue, and V variants. The top 3 variants also get an Optitron instrument cluster.
