Honda Malaysia has reached a significant milestone, with the 150,000th HR-V and 170,000th Civic being delivered to new owners, some 24 years after the company was first established.
The two cars, a Meteoroid Grey Metallic HR-V e:HEV RS and a Platinum White Pearl Civic e:HEV RS, were delivered to their owners in a special handover ceremony. And to celebrate the momentous occasion, both lucky owners were also presented with an exclusive gift and Honda Genuine Accessories worth RM10,000.
Both of these cars, of course, contributed to Honda Malaysia’s impressive sales performance thus far this year, with more than 39,200 units sold in the first half of 2024 (1H2024), a 16% increase compared to the same period last year. Among those, the e:HEV hybrid models – like the two milestone vehicles – accounted for 13% of its sales, which the company says marks a “substantial growth”.
The HR-V is still the most popular model in Honda Malaysia’s line-up, evident by the 150,000 units figure despite the compact crossover only being introduced in the country in 2015. In 2024 thus far, the HR-V contributed to 28% of Honda Malaysia’s total sales, followed by the City at 24%, and then the CR-V with 15%.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Honda Malaysia Managing Director and CEO, Hironobu Yoshimura said, “We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to all customers for their unwavering support and trust in the Honda brand.
