Tesla Malaysia has begun deliveries of the Tesla Model 3 Performance in the country, as announced on June 29, 2024. The Tesla Model 3 Peformance is the range-topping variant of the Tesla Model 3 which fetches a starting price of RM242,000. Over 100 units of the Performance variant were delivered in the first few days.
Launched in Malaysia in April 2024, the Tesla Model 3 Performance debuted with a dual-motor system that puts out a peak power of 460 hp. This setup allows the car do the 0-100 km/h acceleration in 3.1 seconds, onward to a top speed of 262 km/h.
A simple way to distinguish the Model 3 Performance from its more regular counterparts would be the “Bespoke Performance Design” on its exterior which consists of a variant-exclusive body kit, a rear diffuser, and a carbon fibre spoiler. Its wheels are also an easy giveaway as the Model 3 Performance sits on a set of 20-inch “Warp Wheel” which are forged performance wheels.
As for its range, the Tesla Model 3 Performance is able to be driven for 582 km on a single charge (WLTP) which is a shorter distance compared to what the Long Range AWD is capable of. The battery can be charged at a maximum DC rate of 250 kW, allowing 282 km of range to be regained in just 15 minutes.
Inside, the Tesla Model 3 spruces things up with some carbon fibre trims. All else, its interior is identical to the regular Tesla Model 3 with a black interior as standard. Customers can also opt for a white interior which costs RM5,000.
Delivered at Tesla Malaysia’s headquarters in Cyberjaya, the Tesla Model 3 Performance also comes with a 4-year/80,000 km basic vehicle warranty. Its high-voltage battery and drive unit come with an 8-year/192,000 km warranty.
