It looks like we’re really close to witnessing the launch of the facelifted Mercedes-Benz GLB, as the brand has just teased the car once again on its social media page. Previously, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia teased the GLB facelift, showing a shadowy silhouette of the SUV’s front profile, featuring new headlights. This time the car has been teased for the second time, with an image of its new headlights and a tagline that reads “Illuminate Journeys With New Possibilities”.
If you were hoping for the Mercedes-Benz GLB facelift to retain its LED projector headlights, you might be disappointed here as the new headlights teased here are of the reflector type. This is similar to what was seen with the GLA facelift which launched earlier this year. The reflector LED headlights could also make its way to the facelifted AMG GLB35 4MATIC.
We can only hope that the reflector LED headlights won’t be a standard feature across the GLB facelift range. The global spec Mercedes-Benz GLB facelift also comes with new taillights as well as a new front grille.
Inside, the Mercedes-Benz GLB facelift comes with a more minimalistic interior than before with the removal of the touchpad control unit on the centre console for the head unit. That space is occupied by a shallow storage compartment instead, just like in the GLA facelift.

The floating twin-screen setup in the Mercedes-Benz GLB facelift will be running on the brand’s latest NTG7 MBUX system. Wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto connectivity as well as Mercedes-Benz’s latest generation steering wheel are expected to be thrown in as well.
The Mercedes-Benz GLB facelift’s powertrain lineup is all electrified with the German carmaker’s 48V mild hybrid (MHEV) system. Globally, the SUV is available with petrol and diesel options, but only the petrol engines are expected to be brought in.
In Malaysia, the outgoing pre-facelifted Mercedes-Benz GLB is offered in three variants. This includes the GLB200, GLB250 4MATIC, and the AMG GLB35 4MATIC. Are you excited about the imminent launch of the GLB facelift?
