Bentley Kuala Lumpur has just launched the Bentley Continental GT Azure in Malaysia, completing the Azure lineup in the country. The luxurious grand tourer will cost you RM2,976,000.
Just when you thought Bentley’s cars were as luxurious as a car could be, Bentley introduced the “Azure” range to its lineup back in 2022 to offer even more comfort and luxury to its models. With the rest of the Azure models already in Malaysia, the Continental GT Azure’s debut completes the Azure family gathering.
You can tell the Bentley Continental GT Azure apart from the other Continental GT versions simply by looking at its grille which features bright chrome vertical vanes. There are also “Azure” fender badges and an Azure-specific set of 22-inch bright machined wheels with black painted detailing.
Powering the Bentley Continental GT Azure is a petrol 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbocharged engine that makes 550 hp (metric) and 770 Nm. The engine is paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and power is sent to all four wheels. Despite being loaded with luxury, the Bentley Continental GT Azure can do the century sprint in 4.0 seconds onward to a whopping top speed of 318 km/h.
Key to the comfortable ride of the Bentley Continental GT Azure is the brand’s 48V active anti-roll control system which enhances ride comfort and limits body roll for a smoother journey. The system cushions the ride by electronically decoupling the anti-roll bars whenever appropriate. It can recouple and reapply 1,300 Nm of anti-roll torque in just 0.3 seconds to keep the body flat and stable during hard cornering. Working hand-in-hand with the high-tech anti-roll bars is a three-chamber air suspension system.
Inside, the Bentley Continental GT gets a cabin that has been tailored specifically to the modern luxury customer. One of the main highlights of the Azure’s cabin is a fixed panoramic glass sunroof. Focusing on the quality of sound in the cabin, the GT Azure’s engineers have created an environment with less outside noise, that could otherwise reduce attention, impact memory, and increase stress response. According to Bentley, the Azure allows you to “escape the outside world”.
Key features worth mentioning in the Bentley Continental GT Azure include the Harmony Diamond Quilt on the seats and doors, Nappa leather upholstery, sports foot pedals, 24-way adjustable front seats, open-pore crown cut walnut veneer, and the Bentley Analogue clock in plain bezel.
Bentley also claims that “Azure” is more than just a specification/variant of its model as it includes tactile and visual cues that are designed to reduce stress and “promote wellbeing”. Unlike the Bentley Speed family, the Azure family “accentuates the other facet of a Bentley’s character”, such as the ability to travel long distances easily, and the ability to keep you feeling refreshed at the end of your journey.
