Tan previously told reporters at the preview of the GS3 Emzoom here in Malaysia that the company has plans to open 20 dealerships and service centres across Malaysia before the end of 2024.

While its vehicles will initially be available as fully imported (CBU) models at launch, the company is currently setting up an assembly line at the Tan Chong Motor Assemblies (TCMA) plant in Segambut for CKD production of the GS3 Emzoom, with first units expected to roll off the production line in April 2024.

The company also recently signed a distribution and service agreement with Aion, GAC’s new energy vehicle arm, although it’s unclear if GAC Aion will have its own separate dealership network to GAC vehicles here in Malaysia. The GAC Aion Y Plus was also recently previewed in Malaysia, alongside the GS3 Emzoom and GAC Emkoo.
