Gentari Go app launched – access over 2,000 EV chargers, EV rentals, home charging solutions

Clean energy solutions provider Gentari, through its subsidiary Gentari Green Mobility, has launched its new app, Gentari Go. The app has been activated in Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand, providing access to over 2,000 EV chargers across the three countries.

This is made possible thanks to the company’s partnership with regional Charging Point Operators (CPOs) such as CDG Engie, City Energy Go and EVolt. A regional rollout is also planned for Southeast Asia and India within this year.

Besides providing access to EV chargers, the app also helps EV users via features such as charging curves, and even real-time insights of energy consumption during charging sessions. For consumers who have yet to adopt an EV, the platform offers the option to rent an EV through its partnership with GoCar.

Gentari’s new app also incorporates Gentari’s renewable energy pillar, supported by home energy solutions such as EV home charging as well as solar. Consumers will be rewarded as well via incentives, earning and redeeming points for using the platform.

Gentari Green Mobility CEO, Shah Yang Razali said, “Our aim is to become the platform of choice for every consumer starting their clean energy journey. We’re pioneering the seamless integration of clean energy, extending beyond EV charging to home energy solutions.”

Beyond just serving the consumers, Gentari’s new app also empowers other businesses, such as fleet operators, charging point operators, automotive companies, and various other product and service providers.

By joining the Gentari Go platform, fleet operators are able to access a wider network of chargers and optimise fleet management with telematics support. CPOs on the other hand can improve their appeal to drivers by connecting to the Gentari Go roaming network.

Meanwhile, owners and managers of premises wishing to become CPOs can opt for the app’s CPO-in-a-Box Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solution equipped with an app, universal QR, white label app products and CP management guidance.

In addition, Gentari’s new app supports automotive corporations and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) with microservices. This enables them to offer customised services and features for consumers, such as auto-charge and various in-car solutions.

The Gentari Go app is currently available via the Google Play Store and Apple App Store in Malaysia. Early adopters of the app will be able to enjoy a limited offer of a 10% discount on their next 10 charging transactions via the platform. The offer is valid at all Gentari charging points across Malaysia.
