Video: 2024 Porsche Macan EV – More practical, much more power

The all-new 2024 Porsche Macan EV has made its global debut in Singapore and it is a fully electric vehicle. The Macan is the first existing Porsche Model to become fully electric, marking a significant milestone for the brand.

Upon its world debut, the new Macan is available in 2 variants – the Macan 4 and the Macan Turbo. Porsche has stated that its design is not one that slavishly follows design trends, but we’ll let you be the judge of that yourself. Follow Eu Jin in this video as we have a look at the new Macan for the first time:

The Macan’s new look carries on the quadruple headlight cluster which has become a signature design for Porsche cars. What’s new is that it now has a two-stage headlight design which allows more freedom for the design of its “eyes”.

Both versions of the Macan are powered by two electric motors, naturally giving them all-wheel drive powertrains. Built on the Volkswagen Group’s Premium Platform Electric (PPE), the Macan houses a 100-kWh battery pack that provides 613 km of range for the Macan 4 and 591 km of range for the Macan Turbo.

Charging can be done at a maximum rate of 270 kW with DC charging thanks to the 800 V nature of the PPE architecture. This allows for the car to be charged from 10% to 80% in just 21 minutes.

The Macan 4 produces up to 408 hp and 650 Nm while the Macan Turbo makes up to 639 hp and 1,130 Nm, both with launch control. As for the century sprint, the Macan 4 completes it in 5.2 seconds while the Turbo does it in 3.3 seconds. The former has a top speed of 220 km/h while the latter has a top speed of 260 km/h.
