Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM), the official distributor of Mitsubishi vehicles in Malaysia has introduced an upgraded variant of Mitsubishi Triton AT Premium. Available only in limited units, the upgraded Triton AT Premium is priced at RM135,900 (OTR, without insurance), which is the same as the regular AT Premium. This could be the Triton’s final hurrah before we welcome the all-new Triton.
Exterior-wise, the upgraded Mitsubishi Triton AT Premium in Malaysia is only available in the White Diamond colour. It is also fitted with a set of 18-inch Yokohama Geolander AT G015 alloy wheels, a sports bar, door visors, and decals on the rear doors and the truck bed. The limited edition pickup truck also gets black cladding around its wheel arches, which look similar to the ones found on the Triton Phantom Plus.
Powering the upgraded Mitsubishi Triton AT Premium is the 2.4-litre MIVEC turbodiesel engine, also found underneath the hood of the regular model. The mill makes 181 hp (metric) and 430 Nm and is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Power can be sent to all four wheels via the Easy Select 4WD part-time four-wheel drive system.
Inside, the upgraded Mitsubishi Triton AT Premium in Malaysia is fitted with leather seats, with the front seats now getting a new headrest design at the front. There is a set of illuminated scuff plates by the door as well.

In the safety department, the upgraded Mitsubishi Triton AT Premium in Malaysia is equipped with standard safety features such as two airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake distribution (EBD), brake assist (BA), active stability control (ASC), traction control (TC), hill start assist (HSA), hill descent control (HDC), and trailer stability assist (TSA). There is also a digital video recorder (dashcam) fitted onto the pickup truck as standard.
Included with the price of the upgraded Mitsubishi Triton AT Premium is a five-year/unlimited mileage warranty. Priced at RM135,900, the pickup truck is available in limited units, although MMM did not specify how many units are available.
