Are you a fan of Star Wars? If you are, great news as Shell Malaysia has launched the world’s first Shell Star Wars Racers Collection remote-controlled car series, thanks to its collaboration with the Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia. The Star Wars remote-controlled car series from Shell resembles different characters from the movie franchise, which includes Darth Vader, Storm Trooper, The Mandalorian, Boba Fett, BB-8, and Darth Maul.
The Star Wars Racers toy cars can be wirelessly controlled via Bluetooth using a smartphone. Users simply need to install the Shell Racing application from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, and simply connect to the remote-controlled cars via Bluetooth and use their smartphones as a remote control.
How to get these remote-controlled cars you ask? Starting from October 6 till November 19, 2023, Shell will be releasing one car model per week, which will be available exclusively at Shell stations throughout Malaysia, while stocks last.
Starting from October 6, the Darth Vader Bluetooth toy car model will be available for free with a purchase of the 4-litre Shell Helix Ultra or Shell Helix Power engine oil. To get the remaining Star Wars Racers Collection remote-controlled cars, customers can get them at the price of RM49.90 for each remote-controlled car and will need to make a RM50 minimum purchase of either the Shell FuelSave 95, V-Power, or V-Power Racing fuel in a single receipt.

However, it is to be noted that the Shell Star Wars Racers Collection cars do not come with a Bluetooth battery. With a minimum RM50 purchase of the above-mentioned fuel from Shell in a single receipt, you will be entitled to either purchase the battery or a remote-controlled car separately at RM30 and RM49.90 respectively or buy them together with the single receipt.
The Shell Star Wars Racers Collection’s smart Bluetooth battery is also available at RM30, with a minimum RM50 purchase of Shell’s FuelSave 95, V-Power, or V-Power Racing fuel in a single receipt. Customers can choose to purchase the smart battery separately or together with the Bluetooth toy cars.
The availability details of the Star Wars Racers Collection remote-controlled cars are as follows:
- Storm Trooper – Starting October 6
- Darth Vader – Starting October 6
- The Mandalorian – Starting October 14
- Boba Fett – Starting October 21
- BB-8 – Starting October 28
- Darth Maul – Starting November 11
Additionally, Shell is offering the Collector Casing for you to keep your Star Wars Racers Collection as well. The casing is available at RM89.90 with a minimum RM80 purchase of the Shell V-Power Racing fuel in a single receipt.
