Shell Malaysia launches new mobile app – Fuel purchases and gift redemption at your fingertips

Shell Malaysia has just launched its new Shell mobile app today. The app is designed to provide various conveniences, such as allowing customers to purchase and redeem fuel from the comfort of their cars. To pay using the app, customers simply need to link their credit or debit cards with the app itself.

Besides fuel, customers can also redeem snacks from the brand’s Deli2go range at its Shell Select stores throughout Malaysia, while earning points and rewards with the app itself. Shell has also integrated BonusLink into its app, which allows customers to earn BonusLink points from 3,000 merchants.

Another convenient feature available in the app is the Shell station locator. This feature allows you to find and locate the nearest Shell stations around your area and check out their operating hours. Customers can also filter the search engine to make sure the stations shown in the app include facilities and amenities they are looking for, such as the surau, ATM, Shell café, or car wash.

The Shell App can create a personalised offer based on customers’ habitual preferences too, and users can also track their spending and BonusLink points earned from the app. Shell Malaysia claims that the Shell App is the first fuel payment app in Malaysia that is protected by a 3-D Secure verification, a security feature utilised by many banks, which adds an extra layer of security to optimise a safer user experience against possible fraud and scam threats.

Shell Malaysia General Manager of Mobility, Seow Lee Ming said, “In today’s fast-paced world, people expect convenience through innovation and choice. Given our synonymity in innovating mobility solutions, the Shell App serves as a pivotal component to elevate experiences for all our customers at Shell.”

“The Shell App not only allows our customers to pay for fuel securely from inside their cars but also ensures that all journeys are easier and more rewarding. Our aim is to enhance your experience and make things even more convenient for you,” added Seow.

The Shell App is currently available at 650 of the brand’s service stations across Malaysia and can be downloaded via both Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Just in case the app isn’t enabled for the Shell station near you just yet, worry not as the company is intending to make it available for all of its stations in Malaysia by the fourth quarter of this year.
