Video: 2023 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS in Malaysia, from RM2.6m – 5 Things

The 2023 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS has been launched in Malaysia, with a starting price of RM2,630,000 with taxes included. It is Porsche’s latest-road-legal high-performance sports car and is essentially the ultimate version of the 911 for the time being – one look at it is all it takes to tell you this.

Based on the 992 Porsche 911 GT3, the GT3 RS adds an extensive set of aerodynamic add-ons. A few of them to name include the central mono-radiator layout, massive hood outlets, adjustable flaps under the nose of the car, large wheel cooling vents, and the extremely hard-to-miss rear spoiler (which is higher than the roof). Word won’t do it justice so you’re better off watching out video to find out more on the 992 911 GT3 RS.

It is not just aero add-ons in the GT3 RS as the engine has also been souped up from the GT3’s engine that it is based on. Still maintaining a pure naturally aspirated induction system, the 4.0-litre flat-6 engine churns out a maximum of 525 hp which is 50 hp more than the non-RS GT3. Paired with the engine is a 7-speed PDK gearbox. 0-100 km/h is done in 3.2 seconds, onward to a top speed of 296 km/h.

Malaysian customers can choose to opt for additional packages on their 911 GT3 RS as it can be specced with the Club Sport package and the Weissach package. The Club Sport package will come at no extra cost and it adds items like rollover bars, a hand-held fire extinguisher, and a 6-point harness for the driver.

The Weissach package comes at an estimated additional cost of RM410,000. The Weissach package adds items like:

  • Carbon weave finish for the front lid, roof, parts of the rear wing and the upper shell
  • CFRP front & rear anti-roll bars, rear coupling rods, and shear panel on the rear axle
  • CFRP rollover bar
  • PDK shift paddles with motorsport-derived magnet technology
  • Optional magnesium forged wheels
