Local carmaker Proton has announced its sales figures for the month of July and the company has shared the sales numbers for the 2023 Proton X90 since its launch in May this year. In less than three months since its launch, a total of 2,225 units of the Proton X90 have been sold with 886 units sold in July.
The Proton X90 was launched on May 7, 2023, with prices ranging from RM123,800 to RM152,800. Upon launch, the X90 is made available in four variants, namely the Standard, Executive, Premium, and Flagship. The Flagship is the only model which is available with a 6-seater configuration. All other variants have a 7-seater configuration. The 2,225 units sold of the Proton X90 also make it the market leader in its segment.

In the month of July alone, sales of the Proton X90 were more than double of the Proton Exora, which also offers a 7-seater configuration. 886 units of the Proton X90 were sold in July while 374 units of the Exora were sold in the same month. As for the year-to-date numbers, more Exora MPVs were sold since the X90 was just launched in May this year.
Proton has already hinted that one of its models will be discontinued and our sources close to the matter confirm that the Exora will be discontinued by the end of the year. Proton has yet to make an official announcement on the discontinuation of the Proton Exora.
