Porsche Holding Salzburg (PHS) Malaysia has announced its appointment of Denyu Bostandzhiev as the new co-Managing Director of PHS Automotive Malaysia (PHSAM) and Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM), the official distributor of Audi and Volkswagen cars in Malaysia.

The appointment will be effective from July 1 this year, with Bostandzhiev leading the sales, aftersales and network development, as well as marketing and IT for both companies. Serving in the position together with Bostandzhiev will be Kurt Leitner, who will continue to helm the HR and finance operations.

Succeeding Erik Winter in the co-Managing Director role, Denyu Bostandzhiev brings with him almost 20 years of experience in the automotive and engineering industry, which he has garnered across three different continents since 2004. This includes his most recent role as the Managing Director of Porsche Ukraine LLC.

With his expertise in business strategy and operations, and also product development and branding, Bostandzhiev will be tasked to strengthen both the Audi and Volkswagen businesses in Malaysia. The company also mentioned that in the coming months, “more progress” can be expected for the brands’ electric and ICE vehicle line-up here in our market.

Bostandzhiev is no stranger to our local market, as he was once assigned here in Malaysia for two and a half years, back in 2016. He was instrumental in securing the local assembly operations of the Volkswagen Arteon, Tiguan Allspace, and Golf GTI.

“I am enthusiastic about returning to Malaysia to offer a premium experience for customers in which Audi and Volkswagen prides itself in. I believe that both the brand core values of digitalisation, design and sustainability – evident in the strong line-up of progressive premium and affordable premium products, will continue to captivate the local market,” said Bostandzhiev.
