Still based on the same underpinnings as the Zoe that we have become familiar with in Malaysia, the new 2023 Renault Zoe tweaks its looks slightly to keep up with modern design trends. The Zoe measures 4,087 mm long, 1,562 mm tall, and 1,945 mm wide. Essentially slightly larger than a Perodua Myvi, the Zoe sits on a set of 16-inch wheels.

On the outside, standard features on the Zoe include:

  • Full LED headlights with C-shape DRLs
  • 16-inch alloy wheels with 10-spoke design
  • Front fog lights
  • Black and Solid White Colour Options

The R135 Zoe adds:

  • 16-inch alloy wheels with 16-spoke design
  • No front fog lights
  • Additional Blue, Purple, and Red body colours

As for battery and range, both versions of the Renault Zoe are equipped with a 52-kWh battery pack. The ‘base’ R110 gets 395 km of range while the R135 gets 386 km of range from the same battery. This is since the R110 outputs 110 hp (metric) and 225 Nm while the R135 outputs 135 hp (metric) and 245 Nm.

As for charging, both the R110 and R135 can handle a maximum AC charging speed of 22 kW and a maximum DC charging speed of 50 kW. With 22-kW AC charging, the Zoe can be charged from 0 to 100% in 3 hours. 50-kW DC charging brings the Zoe from 0 to 80% state of charge (SOC) in 70 minutes. The 2023 Renault Zoe can also be charged at a rate of 7.4kW (AC single phase) and this will take 9.5 hours.
