Under the hood is a 4.0 litre twin-turbo V8 that produces 639 hp and 900 Nm, paired with a 9G AMG Speedshift automatic transmission. Power is sent to all four wheels via the 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive system with drift mode.

Combined with an electric motor that drives the rear wheels, the GT63S E Performance produces a total of 843 hp and 1,470 Nm of torque. As such, 0-100 km/h takes a brisk 2.9 seconds, with 200 km/h achieved in under 10 seconds. As for top speed, it’s similar to the standard GT63S at 316 km/h.

The rear electric motor works together with a two-speed gearbox and limited-slip differential known together as the Electric Drive Unit. Powering the electric motor is a 6.1 kWh battery that offers a measly 12 km of electric driving, up to a top speed of 130 km/h.

The GT63S E Performance comes with the AMG Ride Control+ adaptive suspension, 21-inch AMG forged wheels and AMG ceramic composite brakes measuring a whopping 420 mm at the front. The AMG GT63S E Performance distinguishes itself from the standard GT63S with E Performance badges on the fenders finished with chrome.

Seen here is the GT63S E Performance finished in Manufaktur Kalahari Gold while also available are AMG Green Hell Magno, Copper Orange Magno, Olive Metallic, and Classic Grey Uni exterior colour options. The AMG Aerodynamics Package and AMG Exterior Carbon package are included as standard.

Inside, the driver can adjust the traction control, suspension and drive mode settings through the digital knobs on the AMG steering wheel. The dashboard is fitted with carbon fibre inserts; as are the door panels. The Nappa leather-wrapped Performance seats are accompanied by red seat belts.
