2023 Honda City facelift leaked in full video walkaround ahead of launch

We’re supposedly just days away from the 2023 Honda City facelift’s global debut in India, but a full video walkaround of the new car has already been posted online ahead of the launch, courtesy of a YouTuber that goes by the name Kamal Yadav.

This is already now the second time we’ve seen the 2023 Honda City facelift. And as we’ve already seen from the previous leak, the updates here are relatively minor. On the outside, the front grille now gets an updated mesh with a diamond pin-style honeycomb design, alongside a new slimmer chrome trim piece.

The bumpers have also been slightly redesigned both front and back, the latter featuring a new faux carbon-fibre diffuser-like element. In India at least, the new 2023 Honda City also gets a small lip spoiler to match the more aggressive styling, alongside a new set of wheels.

Inside, the general design of the cabin remains largely identical to the outgoing pre-facelift model. Interior equipment also remains unchanged, with features such as the eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, the semi-digital instrument cluster with a seven-inch display, and – on the India-spec car – an electric sunroof, all making a return on the facelifted car.

The video does show off a new wireless charger, although it appears to just be an “aftermarket” part sitting atop the cupholders on the centre console. To be entirely honest, we’re much more envious about the six-speed manual shifter on the centre console, rather than these superficial creature comfort additions.

As for powertrains, the existing 121 hp 1.5-litre petrol unit, alongside the e:HEV hybrid powertrain, are both expected to remain on this new facelift model. However, online media portals report that the diesel engine previously offered on the Honda City in India will likely be dropped on the facelift update, due to the introduction of the new Real Driving Emissions (RDE) standards in the nation.
