Just launched today, the all-new 2023 Perodua Axia has received a total of 20,100 bookings, with 13,600 of them being converted ‘old’ Axia bookings. The other 6,500 bookings are new bookings that were made after the booking announcement was made on January 31, 2022.
The 13,600 converted bookings were customers that Perodua managed to convince to switch to the all-new Axia from a pool of 44,000 original bookings. With all eager customers waiting for their all-new Axia, Perodua says that it will be able to deliver 2,900 units of the all-new Axia soon.
Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad said, “With the all-new Perodua Axia launched, our focus (for this new model) are twofold, the first is maximising deliveries to our customers and to convert previous generation Axia bookings to the all-new Axia.”

The Perodua President and CEO added that for the all-new Perodua Axia, the sales target is 5,700 units a month. To meet this sales target, Perodua has set the Perodua Axia’s annual production target to over 82,000 units.
Upon launch, the all-new Perodua Axia is available in four variants, namely the ‘G’, ‘X’, ‘SE’, and ‘AV’. According to Perodua, most of the bookings made were for the two top variants – the ‘SE’ and ‘AV’. Prices for the all-new Perodua Axia start at RM38,600 and the price of the model has increased across the range.
