Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s new extended warranty offers up to RM250k of coverage

Mercedes-Benz Services Malaysia and Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) have announced a new “Extended Limited Warranty Programme” for all Mercedes-Benz customers in Malaysia. Customers with new and pre-owned cars can now opt for a one- or two-year warranty subscription with up to RM 250,000 of coverage.

MBM says that the components replaced under this plan will be further covered by a 24-month Mercedes-Benz Parts Guarantee. The programme also provides unlimited mileage coverage for cars not exceeding 125,000km before the start of their fifth year and 150,000km before the start of their sixth year before opting in for this programme. The warranty subscription cost increases with the age of the car.

Offered are two types of extended warranty programmes – “Essential Coverage” and “Comprehensive Coverage”. The “Essential Coverage” comprises key components such as air-conditioning, brakes, engine, front-wheel drive, power windows, steering, rear-wheel drive, suspension, and transmission.

The “Comprehensive Coverage” adds another nine additional components on top of the “Essential Coverage”, such as active and passive safety components, Airmatic struts, audio system, ECU and tyre pressure monitoring system, instrument cluster, sensors, all other control units and electrical components, and rear entertainment system (for selected vehicles across the Mercedes-Benz model range in their fifth and sixth year).
