You can now pay for EV charging via Setel from RM1.20 per minute

Setel has introduced the latest update in its app that allows electric car owners to pay for charging via the app for a more seamless charging experience.

Electric car owners can easily locate the electric car charging stations through the app, select the type of charger (either AC or DC), and even check the charging status through the app. Payments are then deducted from the Setel Wallet and simultaneously users earn Mesra points with every transaction.

Like refuelling your car with petrol via the Setel app, users will also receive Mesra points when they charge their electric vehicles using the Setel app. For every RM5 spent on charging, users will be entitled to 1 Mesra point.

Setel has partnered JomCharge as the first provider, with plans to onboard more providers in the near future including Energise by PETRONAS. In its first phase, electric car users can use the Setel app to charge their EVs at five pilot locations with more locations to be rolled out progressively.
