Video: Nissan Navara 2.5 PRO-4X vs Isuzu D-Max 3.0 X-Terrain, which is better?

Pick-up trucks these days are more than just hardcore workhorses; they’re now filled with advanced safety tech and creature comforts that can even rival that of modern SUVs. And there’s a good reason for that – according to a study done by Isuzu, over 40% of pick-up buyers are actually buying them for daily use, ferrying themselves to the office, or on shopping trip duties during the weekend.

So, as a super serious media outlet with proper journalistic duties, we’ve rounded up two of the most fully-loaded pick-up trucks on the market – the Isuzu D-Max X-Terrain and the Nissan Navara PRO-4X – to see which of these is the best pick-up truck… for the road.

While they’re both powered by different powertrains – a 2.5-litre turbodiesel mill on the Navara, and a 3.0-litre on the D-Max – their power outputs are actually completely identical, both making 190 hp and 450 Nm. They both are paired exclusively to automatic gearboxes (seven-speed on the Navara, six on the D-Max), with power sent to all four wheels.

But of course, for a daily pick-up, there’s so much more than just performance figures. Looks, for one, and more importantly the other niceties to make it that much easier to drive such a large vehicle day-in, day-out.
