Isuzu D-Max achieves new sales record in H1 of 2022

Isuzu Malaysia has announced that its D-Max has achieved a new sales record between the month of January to June of this year, amounting to a 143% growth from the same period of 2021.

In fact, Isuzu Malaysia has sold nearly as many D-Max pick-ups in the first half of 2022 alone (with 4,237 new registrations) compared to 2021 when they sold a total of 4,601 units in the entire 2021. This bumps the Isuzu brand up to 3rd spot in the pick-up truck segment.

From the entire D-Max range, the 1.9-litre turbo diesel variants have been the most popular model among Malaysians – making up for 80% of total sales. The flagship 3.0-litre X-Terrain models on the other hand, make up for 10% of total sales.

“Since the introduction of the all-new Isuzu D-Max, we have seen a growing interest in pick-up truck usage, particularly from first-time buyers and upgraders who have been impressed by the way the new D-Max has blurred the lines between a tough and capable pick-up truck and the comfort and sophistication of a family saloon,” said Isuzu Malaysia, CEO, Shunsuke Okazoe.

Recently, Isuzu D-Max introduced the updated D-Max 3.0 X-Terrain with additional creature comforts such as around-view monitor aided by cameras on the front grille and side mirrors, puddle lamps, illuminated door sills and wireless charging. The new features are also accompanied by new colours such as Silky Pearl White and Onyx Black.

The updated Isuzu D-Max X-Terrain now starts from RM146,938, a marginal increase from its previous launch price of RM141,938 back in April 2021.
