Have you ever wondered or experienced what it’s like when you car brakes on its own to prevent a collision? Have you ever experienced how Subaru’s Symmetrical all-wheel drive system works? Ever felt what its like to use cruise control in stop-go traffic conditions? Ever experienced all of the above in a safe environment?
Well, this is your chance as TC Subaru, the exclusive distributor of Subaru vehicles in Malaysia, will be hosting a Subaru Advanced Technology Drive event from today (8th of July 2022) till Sunday (10th of July 2022), at Plaza Arkadia, Desa Park City, to showcase the updated Subaru XV that now comes with the EyeSight driver assistance system, along with various courses to safely test and experience the vehicle’s safety features.
Among the activities the public can experience with the new Subaru XV are:
- Pre-Collision Braking: When the system senses an obstacle ahead, it will alert the driver and automatically apply the brakes until the vehicle comes to a complete stop, if necessary.
- Pre-Collision Throttle Management: If the car in front moves ahead but stops abruptly, the system immediately reduces power from the engine, giving the driver additional time to react to the situation and apply the brakes if necessary.
- Adaptive Cruise Control: When the system detects that the vehicle ahead is slowing down, the system will adjust the speed accordingly to maintain the preset distance from the vehicle ahead. Once the vehicle ahead starts moving, the EyeSight system will get the vehicle moving again to the preset speed.
Aside from the said activities, there are also ramps to showcase how the ‘X-Mode’ and Symmetrical All-wheel Drive system works in slippery or wet driving conditions. If you want to know more, watch the video below or better yet, head to Plaza Arkadia this weekend!
