New Aston Martin DBX 707 is now the most powerful luxury SUV

These days, it’s all about who has the fastest, the most luxurious, and so on. In the case of Aston Martin, luxury alone clearly isn’t enough for its SUV, the DBX so here it is, the new DBX 707, the most powerful luxury SUV in the world.

How much more powerful is it compared to the standard DBX we reviewed?

The new DBX 707 produces 157 hp and 200 Nm more than the standard car, now producing 707 hp (hence the name) and 900 Nm. 0 to 100 km/h ends quicker than a 911 Carrera 4S, at just 3.3 seconds. In fact, it’s even quicker than the Lamborghini Urus!

All that comes from a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine paired to a 9-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Other mechanical upgrades include a strengthened electronic limited-slip differential to cope with the increased torque and revised suspension for better steering response.

The DBX 707’s 48-volt active roll stabilisation system and electric power steering have also been revised for better agility and driving feel.

As for the exterior, the DBX 707 projects a more sinister appearance with an even larger front grille, a new front splitter, new brake ducts and air intake along with slimmer LED daytime running lights.

The 22-inch wheels remain, albeit a different design. There are optional 23-inch wheels that supposedly offer better steering response and body control. Production of the DBX 707 is set to take place within Q1 of this year, with deliveries expected to take place in early Q2 2022.
