Porsche celebrates 50 years of Porsche design with limited 911 Targa 4 GTS

Porsche is celebrating 50 years of Porsche Design with an exclusive 911, limited to just 750 vehicles, with features and details that pay homage to the iconic designs of Ferdinand Porsche.

These unique features include a silver 911 badge with serial number on the dashboard, the late Ferdinand Porsche’s signature, classic checked pattern seats and a red second hand on the Porsche Design Subsecond clock from the Sport Chrono Package.

“Black was the colour of the very first Porsche Design product, the Chronograph I. That’s why we’ve chosen it for our limited-edition model. Using Platinum as an accent colour elevates the Black paintwork in the same way chrome details do,” said Porsche Design.

The Targa bar is painted in Platinum and paired with wheels from the 911 Turbo S. The special edition also features a ‘Porsche Design 50th Anniversary Edition’ badge on the slats of the rear bonnet.

Customers of the limited edition model can also purchase the Chronograph 1, a remake of the original from 1972 with a serial number engraved on the back case that’s limited to just 500 pieces.

The 911 Targa 4 GTS delivers 480 h and 570 Nm from a turbocharged 3.0-litre flat-six, paired to either a 7-speed manual or 8-speed PDK gearbox.
