The all-new Peugeot 2008 has been launched by Bermaz Auto Alliance, the new distributors of Peugeot vehicles in Malaysia, and is available only in a single variant – the Allure – from RM126,753.
The Peugeot 2008 is locally assembled at the Stellantis manufacturing plant in Gurun, Kedah, and will also be exported to neighbouring countries like Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Myanmar, and Cambodia.
Performance wise, the rather large 2008 relies on the 1.2 turbocharged 3-cylinder engine to deliver 131 hp and 230 Nm to drive the front wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Standout features include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Peugeot’s i-Cockpit design and the world’s first 3D hologram instrument cluster. With just as much substance as it has style, the Peugeot 2008 also comes with six airbags, Active Lane Keep Assist and Active Brake Assist or in other words, autonomous emergency braking.
