Honda M’sia unveils two Covid-19 aid programmes for new customers

Honda Malaysia has announced two new programmes for new Honda customers, providing additional benefits when they purchase a new Honda car. These include an enhanced coverage in the Customer Car Loan Protection Programme, as well as a new Vaccinated Customer Programme.

Firstly, the updated Customer Car Loan Protection programme is offered to all customers who register a new Honda vehicle between 1st October to 31st December 2021.

In the unfortunate event that the customer loses their job in the first year of car ownership, a RM12,000 car loan subsidy will be reimbursed to support the customer’s monthly instalments, which is a 100% increase to the previously-offered insurance coverage.

The enhanced Customer Car Loan Protection Program also includes death or permanent disability coverage worth RM20,000 (also a 100% increase), burial or cremation coverage worth RM2,000, and repatriation expenses worth RM5,000, bringing the total coverage worth up to RM39,000.

“By introducing the enhanced Customer Car Loan Protection Program, we aim to help our customers by providing them with some financial support to ease their monthly instalments should the customer be unexpectedly out of employment,” said Honda Malaysia Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Madoka Chujo.

“This enhanced personal accident insurance initiative is to protect the car loan of new Honda customers so that they can continue to enjoy their new car with peace of mind and without disruptions.”

The Vaccinated Customer Programme, meanwhile, is an initiative by Honda Malaysia to support the Malaysian Government’s vaccination drive, in an effort to encourage more people to get their jabs and help the country achieve herd immunity.

Under the programme, all new Honda customers who register a new car from 1st October to 31st December 2021 will be entitled to a free service voucher worth RM250 (1-year validity), provided that they are registered for the national vaccination programme, or have already been vaccinated either partially or fully.

To be eligible, customers will be required to provide proof of participation in the vaccination programme via the MySejahtera mobile app.

Last month, Honda Malaysia also announced a new “I’m Vaccinated” campaign to provide additional peace of mind to its customers and associates at its dealerships. The company says that all dealerships nationwide have participated in the campaign, which means that only vaccinated staff will be on duty at the outlets, wearing the specially-designed “I Am Fully Vaccinated” badge and mask.
