This showroom in Belgium is Lynk & Co’s idea of a car dealership

Lynk & Co had planned to begin their European introduction by around 2020 but the global pandemic pushed the opening of their first showroom or Club in Amsterdam to October 2020. The Lynk & Co Antwerp Club is the third showroom by the Chinese brand in Europe, seven months after the opening of the Gothenburg Club in Sweden.

Similar to the first two Clubs, the Antwerp Club offers space and rooms for events, social gatherings, and a café. While the main objective is to have more Lynk & Co cars on European roads, the brand is taking things a little slower by trying to better engage with the local community.

“Every Club is an opportunity to connect with our members on their terms and share the Lynk & Co experience. As our first location in Belgium, the Antwerp Club is an exciting milestone for the company,” said Lynk & Co, CEO, Alain Visser.

South Korea could be Lynk & Co’s next biggest market, as Renault has just partnered with Geely to produce hybrid vehicles there. More about the new JV here.

Located in the heart of the Fashion Quarter, the Antwerp Club, previously a historic Firehall, is designed to uphold the history of space, filled with creative details and sustainable design choices. Like the other two Clubs, furnishings in the Antwerp Club must be eco-friendly and ethically sourced.

Much of the building was preserved with renovations done using mainly natural building materials and small amounts of recycled plastic.

Lynk & Co will offer the updated 01 compact SUV for subscription or outright purchase at these Clubs. To stand out from the crowded European landscape, everything in the catalogue comes standard in the Lynk & Co 01.

This includes a panoramic sunroof, Infinity premium audio system, powered seats, an advanced infotainment system with full over-the-air software update capabilities, cloud-based personal settings and the full suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

Two powertrain choices are on offer in the Lynk & Co 01- the 197-hp self-charging or 261-hp plug-in hybrid that also serves Volvo and Geely models.

The Club will also feature a selection of local brands that share Lynk & Co’s value of sustainability, creativity and community called Gear Collection.

Listed on their website is the fourth location, in the heartland of premium vehicles- Germany. The Hamburg Club is however not a permanent site, in which the company is operating an experimental pop-up showroom in a series of cities to slowly build awareness as well as navigate through post-pandemic limitations.

Lynk & Co earlier this year also mentioned working with Volvo Cars to used the latter’s distribution network for a faster reach and global access for the upcoming lifestyle brand.
