2021 Tiguan Allspace R-Line Receive New Upgrades



Launched here in August 2020, Volkswagen Passenger Car Malaysia has just announced that the 2021 Tiguan Allspace R-Line has been given a few new updates.

It’s now fitted with USB-C charging ports and a new radio update which now comes with wireless Apple CarPlay, a much-welcomed feature for the new decade.

The dimensions of the new radio are similar at 8-inches but displays a different user interface with subtle graphic changes. As for the Android Auto feature, it continues to require cable connection. Note that this update is exclusive to the R-Line variant.

The new Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace features an extended wheelbase from the regular Tiguan, extending the overall length of the SUV by 215 mm.

Thanks to the elongated wheelbase and increased overall length, the Tiguan Allspace can now carry up to 1,775 litres of cargo with all the rear seats folded down; 700 litres with the 3rd row down, and 230 litres with all seats in their upright position.

The Allspace comes with two different powertrains. The Allspace Highline comes with a 1.4-litre TSI turbocharged engine with a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission. It produces 150 hp and 250 Nm to drive the front wheels.

As for the Allspace R-Line makes 220 hp and 250 Nm with a larger 2.0-litre turbocharged engine to drive all four wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

The Allspace Highline is priced at RM165,030 while the Allspace R-Line will set you back RM209,637. Both models come with 5-years unlimited mileage warranty and 3-years free maintenance.

From now till 13th June, Volkswagen owners are entitled to 20% off Volkswagen genuine engine oil at Volkswagen service centres. Customers who spend a minimum of RM1,200 will receive a complimentary car care kit that consists of wax polish, wax shampoo, glass polish, plastic care, and leather care solutions in 50ml bottles.
