Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has just announced that all Volkswagen Tiguan sold from March 2019 onwards will feature a new Active Info Display and LED taillights across the range.
The Tiguan range in Malaysia now consists of the Highline and JOIN, the Comfortline has officially been dropped from the Tiguan line up. Prices remain unchanged from before with the Highline going for RM165,990 and RM175,990 for the JOIN variant. Both prices are on-the-road without insurance.
Updated kit includes the new Active Info Display with better graphics (2D and 3D display). The new display is also more customisable from before with a three-view customisable screen via the infotainment system with over 30 combinations. Not to mention the navigation screen now displays a full 3D view map.
On the outside, the Tiguan wears an updated full LED taillamps with sharper graphics. Besides looking good, the new taillamps also incorporates an animation when braking for better visibility to other road users.
The updated Tiguan continues to feature a 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder TSI engine and 6-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission pushing out 150 hp and 250 Nm of torque. The front-wheel-drive Tiguan 1.4TSI can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.9 seconds.
Other standard equipment includes six airbags, Electronic Stability Control, Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold, tri-zone automatic climate control and 8.0-inch Discover Media touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Like every other Volkswagen sold through authorised dealerships, the Tiguan come with 5-Years Unlimited Mileage Warranty, 3-Years Free Maintenance and 5-Years Roadside Assistance.
