BMW gives closer look at the all-new iDrive system and user interface

After more than 20 years since the first-generation iDrive system made its debut, BMW will reveal an all-new system and user interface at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2021).

The virtual forum which will take place from today till the 14th of January 2021, will offer an initial preview of the all-new iDrive system due to be revealed later this year.

The BMW iDrive operating system was introduced for the first time in the 2001 BMW 7 Series which decluttered the dashboard of buttons and controls. The new iDrive system will be available for the first time in the all-electric BMW iX.

With the all-new system, BMW said it will bridge the gap between driver and car even more as the number of functions continues to rise, with even greater complexity.
