Mitsubishi has released the first image of the all-new Outlander

Following the leak images of the all-new Mitsubishi Outlander, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) has released the first teaser image of its SUV.

The all-new Outlander will make its debut in the U.S. and Canada in February 2021 before being released in other international markets later on.

It’s been developed based on the Japanese philosophy of “I-Fu-Do-Do”, which means authentic and majestic. Like all the current Mitsubishi models, the new Outlander will sport the company’s Dynamic Shield design on the front end.

The Outlander’s position light even shares the same design traits as the Eclipse Cross and the 7-seater Mitsubishi Xpander which was just launched in Malaysia recently.

“The Outlander is an iconic SUV for the company, so when we developed the next-generation model, we took inspirations from our rich SUV heritage to realize a bold and confident styling with a solid stance that excites our customers,” said MMC, Head of Design, Seiji Watanabe.

“The all-new OUTLANDER is the first model epitomizing the new generation of Mitsubishi design and the frontrunner of our design strategy,” he added.

MMM has slated the all-new Outlander to be launched virtually in February 2021; and is set to release more information closer to date.

Currently, the current generation Outlander is available in Malaysia in two variants. The 2.0-litre model with 145 hp and 196 Nm is priced at RM133,491 while the 2.4-litre model with 167 hp and 222 Nm is priced at RM147,762.
