The fastest production car by Aston Martin and also our 2019 AutoBuzz Best Driver’s Cars has arrived at its Kuala Lumpur showroom in a new shade of green that simply peaks the heart’s desire.
It’s called Pentland Green. The new paint job has been paired with Bronze brake calipers, carbon-ceramic brakes and a set of 21-inch 10-spoke wheels in Gloss Black Diamond. The effect of it is simply one of the most elegant yet stealthy Aston Martin DBS’ we’ve laid eyes on.
Complementing the elegant new exterior finish are Caithness leather upholstery with Sahara Tan stitching. The latter colour has also been applied to the headlining of the DBS Superleggera that looks far less tacky than the one in the launch model! Brrrr! So un-Aston Martin-like!
Also unlike the launch unit we saw at Aston Martin’s KL showroom, the Pentland Green DBS Superleggera comes with a more elegant seat design. The Aston Martin emblem embroidery on the back rest of the front seat has been replaced with “DBS” letters instead. Completing the exterior are Tamo Ash open pore trims and a Satin Silver Jewellery pack.
Performance wise, nothing has changed. Underneath the DBS’ carbon fibre front hood is a 5.2-litre quad-cam twin-turbo V12 producing 725 hp and 900 Nm of torque. Frighteningly, every inch of performance is channeled solely to the rear wheels via an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission and a carbon fibre driveshaft.
0 to 100 km/h is done within a highly disturbing 3.4 seconds, onward to a spellbinding top speed of 340 km/h. In case that doesn’t excite you, it’ll also do 80-160 km/h in just four seconds.
The Aston Martin DBS Superleggera is available from the base price of RM 1,228,000.00, while the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera in Pentland Green is priced at RM 1,450,000.00 (excluding duties and taxes).
This customised DBS Superleggera Pentland Green comes with a 3-year factory warranty, complimentary 24-months of Aston Martin Extended Warranty and 5-years scheduled servicing with labour.
